G Country Pty Ltd trading as G Country Online Store was established in 2007 by Gumbaynggirr entrepreneurs Robin Bryant and Andrew Hegedus with the support of Sydney businessman, Ian Plater, to promote Indigenous Australian manufactured products. The inspiration for the business enterprise had been the desire to purchase a retail outlet for the quality ceramics produced by Andrew Hegedus’ business enterprise, Girrwaawa Designs Pty Ltd trading as G Ceramics. G Country Online Store will source quality products from Indigenous artists and manufacturers from throughout Australia for sale through its Online Store. Our aim is to promote the excellence of Australian Indigenous products and enable artists to greatly broaden their sales opportunities using G Country Online Store support and expertise.
G Country Online Store specialises in supplying authentic Indigenous art, homeware and giftware products. G Country Online Store is proud to present products that showcase the talents of Indigenous artists and manufacturers from throughout Australia. As an Indigenous Australian owned enterprise, G Country Online Store sells Indigenous products which are unique, high quality and authentic. Local ceramic designers/artists include Debby Taylor, Elizabeth Hegedus and Leanne Hegedus.
Our premises are located in the picturesque and historic Clarence River port town of Ulmarra, 12 kilometres north of Grafton NSW on the Pacific Highway to Brisbane.
The retail premise of 9 Coldstream Street Ulmarra is leased to Indigenous Australian owned business enterprise G Country Online Store; JTD merchandise selling selected designed t-shirts and other unique merchandise; and Shellbound selling assorted women’s clothing and hand made leather belts. Indigenous Australian owned business enterprises Wide River Cafe and G Ceramics are operational at 11 Coldstream Street Ulmarra NSW 2462.
